Road Safety AmbassadorsFOREIGNERS AND YOUNG NOVICE DRIVER Founded in 2012 by Monika Jakiela, DMA Servizi is dealing mainly with services and assistance to foreign nationals, particularly in the field of road safety, legality and inclusion. Since the beginning, DMA Servizi works with more than 120 between foreign embassies and consulates in Italy, with public, private and religious organizations. On 2012 DMA Servizi launched the international project “ Ambassadors of Road Safety”, in collaboration with ACI, targeted both for young novice drivers Ready2Go and foreigners drivers to improve road safety, legality and integration. The objective of the international initiative concerned the dissemination of the culture of road safety and, compared to foreigners, integration into Italian society. The initiative has been particularly appreciated by foreign citizens with 8000 people involved and more than 4000 courses provided. This project was patronized by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of cultural heritage and tourism. The project was particularly appreciated in other countries, some of which have transposed and implemented it. Among the several awards that the project was awarded, on 2013 won the award for ' Best practices ' established by Certified EPSA-European Public Sector Award in the category ' European or national projects” and it received numerous awards, among others, the Italian Journalists Union Ecorally UIGA-Automotive Press and RomeMotor Show. A delegation of "Road Safety Ambassadors" was the guest of honour at Monza Italy Grand Prix of Formula 1. At the international level "Road Safety Ambassadors" was presented in Vienna and Luxembourg on the occasion of the Spring Meeting FIA Region I, the annual meeting of the delegates of the Automobile and Touring Club of Europe, Africa and the Middle East, in the presence of Jean Todt, President of the International Automobile Federation. |
